Changes - Effective Immediately

1. This is my blog.
2. Kari was my friend.
3. I believe with all my heart that she did not take her own life.
4. I am interested in truth and justice.
5. The evidence in support of Kari WILL NOT be placed on a blog in posts or comments.
6. The evidence will be provided to interested parties AT the trial. Not here.
7. This does not mean the evidence doesn't exist.
8. Investigators, law enforcement agencies, experts, witnesses, family and friends aren't going to talk and produce such evidence until the time is right.
9. They will not be pushed into speaking prematurely.
10. Just hang on.
11. I am interested in collecting information and news about this case as it unfolds.
12. I am interested in creating and maintaining a place of support for others seeking truth and justice for Kari.
13. Some of my early-on posts were very strong and passionate with all this stuff coming out again.
14. But in the last few weeks I have focused my posts to more news and facts related and also more memories.
15. I don't like way the comments area has turned into a wrestling match.
16. It's not taking this blog (this little community) in the direction that I feel comfortable with.
17. I am deleting comments with personal attacks on Kari.
18. I will moderate future comments.
19. As I said in yesterday's post, if this irritates the fire out of you, feel free to not engage.
20. You don't need to volunteer yourself to be irritated.
21. Neither do I.
22. This is a blog in support of Kari and truth and justice.
23. That's all.

One has to wonder Shannon, what are you scared of?
One has to wonder if you will continue to post attacking blogs on Matt, I would not put it past you from what I've learned of you on this site!

I'm not scared. I simply don't want a "p*ssing match" on here. It doesn't serve any good purpose and it's upsetting to some family members that come here for solace and support.

I'll post the comments people send provided they don't degrade Kari.

Soooooo let me understand, you will post comment degrading Matt but in support of Kari only. So this is really not a site to visit to hear different opinions, but only one side? Correct?

Again, this is a blog in support of Kari and chronicling this case.

I'm interesting in reading different opinions, sure. But I don't want comments that degrade an innocent friend of mine that is gone.

Thank you, Shannon! You are right. This is a site for those who love and miss Kari and wish to carry on her memories. We miss her so much and are grateful that she had some amazing friends. So thank you for doing this in her honor!

Shannon, I too want to thank you for providing a space for Kari's friends and family to speak what is on their hearts. I am saddened that representatives of Matt Baker have tried to make it a forum for "equal time." He will have his day in court. Kari has only our voices now.

We have come to a sad point here where the other party has to attack the good intentions of the author of this site. Those who oppose this site, why don't you just start your own blog..somewhere else. Yes there are two sides of every story. This is Kari's story and in honor of her memory. Apparently some visitors can't read or be respectful of that. I miss Kari deeply, she meant the world to me and it sickens me to see someone attack the good nature of the person who began this blog.

Sing it, sister...or brother ;).

No one has attacked the author of this site for her TRUE intentions! And yes we can read and her TRUE intentions were to have a site for memories of Kari! However after only 5 blogs it became a battle field and not from Kerrville. It saddens me that so called freinds and family could not keep the site the way the author appears to have intended for it to be.

Why don't you share with all of us what Shannon the blogger intended for this site. I am not sure what you mean.

All I know is what she says and I have to agree....she often says that she intended for this to be a site of memories!

Apparently anonymous didn't read this...copied right from the main page of this blog. The primary purpose what to chronicle the case. A post was later added to share memories. Perhaps anonymous should have been one of Kari's students because she a faboulous teacher and could teach anyone how to read and comprehend meaning!

Why Here?
I was chronicling the Kari Baker murder case on my personal blog and I decided it was best to move all that to a seperate place. So here it be.

God bless you, Kari. The truth is coming out. We miss you.

If I had been one of Karis students I think I would have also learned that this is not what she would have wanted either! A place where people attack without true evidence! I think Kari would have been patient and waited out the verdict, trusting God! I do not believe Kari would have been apart of attacking and insulting anyone! She may investigate yes, but not gone public with all the insults and hatefulness that has been done on this site! If you truly knew Kari...and not just as one of her students parents you would know this site was not her style!!!! Lets see if this truth gets published on your site!

You very much have the right to your opinion and I have no problem posting it. But:
1) I never said I was channeling Kari.
2) I never said I was doing exactly what I thought Kari would do in the same situation.
3) I have come to know some people that knew Kari better most anyone and they do not think my blog dishonors Kari. The opposite.
