Four Years....

Four years. Four years, two girls without their Mother. Four years, parents without their daughter. Four years, a brother missing his sister. Four years, aunts and uncles missing their dear niece. Four years, cousins without her. Four years, friends missing one of their dearest. Four years, co-workers missing one of their own. And on and on and on....Kari touched so many lives in so many ways.

It's been four years since the tragedy of Kari's murder. Almost four years of praying and working for her justice and peace for so many. At least on this anniversary of Kari's death, we have partial peace. Justice has been served. Kari's loving memory and honor publicly restored. Without question. Prayers are now directed towards Kari's precious daughters.

This is my prayer for the girls:

That you will be free to remember and love your Mother.

That you will be free to love your Mom’s family, especially your grandparents.....
and know that it is only by loving that you can heal.

When the time and circumstances are right, you will learn the truth about how
your Mom will be able to accept the truth.....and heal.

That you will be able to love your dad after recognizing and accepting the truth.....
again, it is only through love that we can heal.

That you will grow into healthy and whole young women.....
fully of joy and life, just like your mother.

That you will know now and always just how special you are and how incredibly loved you are.

God bless you all on this day of memory.

Please feel free to leave a message for Kensi and Grace and
the Dulins here or using the "Comment" link below

I'll be sure they see it. Thank you!

Kensi and Grace, Your mother loved you soooo much. I think she talked and thought about you more than she breathed the air around her. You were her very heart and soul. I wish you could have had more time with her.

Jim, Linda and family, I know you know of Kari's love and devotion for you. She came from an amazing family. Everyone that knew her was blessed. Thank you for Kari.

God bless you all.

I just want your family to know that I'm praying that you will continually feel God's loving hand on you. May each of you be able to remember the good times and smile a bit as you do even in the midst of tears. God bless.

May all who come in contact with the girls show peace and love. May the girls and both families find healing and grace. May the girls come to know they were born in love, may they heal in love, may they learn to live in love.

Please join me in lighting a candle for Kari's babies - now becoming beautiful young ladies:

Kensi and Grace: I grew up from just shy of two years old without either of my parents. One I lost to death the other to abandonment, so I truly do have a clue how hard this is for you. I pray for you girls everyday, that you will find truth and answers and use those tools as strength. I pray you will get into loving arms that allow you to question without fear of being rejected. I pray you will be allowed to have loving open minds and think for yourself and come to terms in as healthy a way as possible and thus have the power to be the leader of your lives and your future. Kari wanted so badly to give meaning and use the passing of your beautiful little sister to help and heal others. Now, I pray you will grow to carry that meaning forward and learn all you can to give meaning and a message to those you meet about your mother and her wonderful loving, trusting and faithful ways. One day when you are older and healed, I think you will see the very important lessons your testament can help others in similar situations.
To Linda and Jim, Kari's brother, Linda's motivational sisters, Shannon and Sadie and all the loyal posters here: I am truly humbled in your presence. Your example of what strong, passionate, intelligent advocates is the best gift anyone can give to Kari now and I know she is yelling, "You guys ROCK!!!!!!" Kensi and Grace are blessed to have such strong role models all reading to help and nurture and love them, just as they are and who they are to become. Bravo to the You Rock crowd!

One night I dreamed a dream.
I was walking along the beach with my Lord. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonging to me and one to my Lord.

When the last scene of my life shot before me I looked back at the footprints in the sand. There was only one set of footprints. I realized that this was at the lowest and saddest times of my life. This always bothered me and I questioned the Lord about my dilemma.

"Lord, You told me when I decided to follow You, You would walk and talk with me all the way. But I'm aware that during the most troublesome times of my life there is only one set of footprints. I just don't understand why, when I need You most, You leave me."

He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you, never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you."
~ Margaret Fishback Powers, 1964

Kensi, Grace, and Linda always remember that Kari will always be with you especially when times are the hardest and she will help carry you along the way. Hold your heads up high, give her your love and you will feel that she is with you forever and always.

Kensi and Grace, your mommy is watching over you right now and is so proud of you! She loves you so much!

Dulins, may God bless your family during this sweet time. Kari has touched so many hearts, like mine, even though I was not privileged to know her personally. You will all be together again someday!

Kari deeply loved all THREE of her girls. I remember how much she'd laugh at all the cute little things they'd say and do. I remember her running across a room to scoop up Kensi, who had just fallen down, to cuddle her and shower her with kisses. I remember the joy through sadness that Kari experienced through having Grace after losing Kassidy. I remember the closeness she shared with her mother. Kari is in Heaven. Kari is also in our hearts every single day. We are so blessed to have known her and, knowing Kari, she feels the same way about all of us.

Kensi and Grace: I pray for you every day that you will find healing, happiness and the truth. You had a mother who loved you. Plain and simple. Your Dulin grandparents have that love for you too.

Dulins: I pray for you. Rest assured. Prayer works.

Kari was and always will be a blessing to my family. As much as we all miss those blue eyes, she is in the heavens holding her babygirl, having a nice conversation with her grandmom (my mom). Here's to you sweetheart. We love and miss you so so much. Give mom a kiss for me...........
