Thoughts of Kari on her birthday

Are there birthdays in Heaven?
Does the angel blow his horn?
Announcing to everybody
That this is the day you were born?

Can the stars be your balloons
And angel food your cake?
Presents wrapped in moonbeams
All the angels helped to make.

Birthdays meant so much to you
They were always a big deal
Birthday presents, lots of friends
And perhaps a special meal.

So I’ll whisper a little prayer today
Asking everyone up above
To sing you a Happy Birthday song
And give you all our love.

The next to last picture is how I personally see Kari in my mind. The last picture is how I'm going to think of her today. Happy Birthday, my friend.

Click here to read last year's birthday post.

****I put up the Birthday Song because at this point, I think Kari would want us to miss her and laugh...wipe the tears....and laugh out loud. Lord knows she gave us plenty of reasons to. ;) Love you all!!

Oh, Shannon, this is so incredibly wonderful. I miss my child so very much but I KNOW I will spend eternity with her, and that gives me such comfort.

Look at this girl and later woman!!! You can see the love for life in her eyes. There is no hiding it. Justice for Kari, her daughters, and all those who love her. I know it is coming.

Do you think MB allowed Kensi and Grace to celebrate their mother's b'day? I suspect he has tried to erase Kari from their lives. I saw him doing this before he moved from Waco.

Kari loved the Beatles happy birthday song! I always sang it to her on her b'day. She would laugh at me because my voice is terrible!!!!! I love these memories!

Linda, You were so lucky to have Kari and Kari was just as lucky to have had you in her life! We all miss her so much and celebrate her life together. Not much longer, and the justice we have longed for will be served! Thinking of you today and always!

sf,
You are so right. Matt was working on his Eraser routine before he even killed Kari. And it was even more obvious after he did the deed. I saw it first hand. I just couldn't put words to it at the time. He always creeped me out. Even more so now. God bless Kari's girls and I pray all the time for them to know their mother's true heart and soul and know that she didn't leave them by her own hand.

Someone left a comment on another place about the beautiful sunrise on Kari's birthday this morning.

Has anyone noticed the gorgeous sunset happening right now?

Your beauty is still around us, Kari.

I just have to add:
A certain Kerrville IP address has been all over this site lately. Not just lately. But interestingly the last couple days.
Interesting.
Not surprising.
Guilt?
Worry?
Wonder?

Could the Kerville lurker be Kensi? Wouldn't that be nice? Birthdays are also about the Mommy and Daddy who gave birth. 1974 is a vintage year Linda and Jim. I love you and Adam and the girls... Linda R~

Happy Birthday to Kari.

Just think, on her thirty-SIXTH birthday, Matt will already have served the first few months of his sentence after finally having been found GUILTY in a court of law for snuffing out her life.

The Dulins can begin to put the rest of their lives back together and move forward, knowing that through prayer and faith and love, they have fought the good fight all the way to Justice for their beautiful, brilliant daughter.

Kari's own beloved daughters will have begun their journey of healing, as their lives will be slowly but surely put back together and made strong, with all the love and grace that God and their loving family will provide.

Yes, I do believe that by the time Kari's NEXT birthday rolls around, we will really have something to celebrate.

God Bless the Dulins, God Bless all of Kari's friends and family, and especially God Bless you, Shannon, for your never-flagging labor of love.
