Faith sustains....

A friend of Linda's shared this passage from a book she's reading with her this weekend and Linda passed it on to me. Now, I am sharing it with you. It speaks so boldly about our faith in God and how He manages to sustain us and hold us close even when we don't know how exactly we will carry on.

In the darkest hours of the Warsaw ghetto, as Jewish families witnessed the destruction of their world, a rabbi shared, “You can weep over your suffering until you despair, or you can feel in your weeping that God weeps along with you.” This is my God. Not God who is the source of my suffering. But rather, God who ...shares the burden of my sorrow and who promises me that never need I suffer alone.

God has a plan. He is in control. Our faith is strong.

Note: The Dulin's attorneys immediately filed to find the facts of the judge's decision. At the very least, they deserve to know what he based his quick decision on. I will post more about the hearing later. I have heard from a few people that were there. It's just very bizarre.

I continue to be humbled by Linda Dulin, her family and those whom surround her.
I am learning so much about faith through the testament of all their actions!!

Beautiful sentiment, Shannon. My heart is with you and Kari's family. Recent events must be so bewildering for them and for everyone who understands the importance of what is at stake.

Thank you for the news that the Dulins have officially inquired about the reasoning for this deplorable travesty. I hope they can get some answers and get to the bottom of what is going on. I'll continue to check here as always, awaiting any information you learn and can share about this heartbreaking situation.

I agree with News, that Linda is an inspiration.

And I'll be adding my prayers to those of so many others, for Kensi and Grace. And also for the Dulin family, to whom I offer this word:

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.
(2 Corinthians 4:8-9)

There is hope, as always. Just because this evil is particularly pernicious and relentless does NOT mean that evil will triumph. It will not. Love is stronger, and time will tell. Love will always ultimately prevail.

I saw that a judge in Kerrville threw out the custody case. How could he? That is shocking and very wrong. These decent people that went through so much now have more heartbreak with no explanation. What was he thinking, to leave the victim's daughters with the murderer's family? They don't even admit that the father committed the murder, they tell these children that their mama killed herself which is untrue and sick. It was a messed up decision on this judge's part. It is very WRONG and I am so sorry for Kari's parents. Please tell them that our prayer group will be praying for this situation.
