They say it's your birthday..........

It just dawned on me that we both have birthdays on the 13th of the month. I used to think it was so spooky funny when my birthday landed on a Friday the 13th. Can't have bad luck on your birthday, right?

Well, it's another birthday in Heaven for you, Dear Friend. I imagine you and Kassidy and your Grandmother having one heck of a celebration together up there today. Know that your Mom and Dad, brother, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and Kensi and Grace are thinking about you with love and missing you like crazy. One day we will all celebrate together again!

Happy Birthday Kari! I am a friend of your mom's and I know you are still with us. To Kensi and Grace, should you be reading here - if you ever feel your mother is gone, close your eyes and you will feel her in your heart. She is holding your hands and with you always. That goodness inside you you have no clue where it comes from - it comes from your mother. Know that your mother is with you always and loves you unconditionally.
Today we celebrate the life of a woman who made such an impact on the lives of everyone who knew her. Her life and journey continue to touch lives today. I only wish that when my time to join our heavenly father comes, I can have made 1/10th the impact in the lives of others that your mother did. Take this day to remember and to know that she lived her life knowing the promise of her (our) Father:
John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Dear Kari,
Although I never had the honor of meeting you in life here on earth, you touched my heart and the hearts of soooooo many women across the land. We all could see the joy in your eyes. They sparkled with joy and trust and love and most of all FAITH. You left lessons and meaning here on earth that will not be overlooked or forgotten. You left us, society-- two of the most precious gifts - your babies, Kensi and Grace. We will cradle them, hold them up when they think they will fall, be patient and kind to them as they work through their growing years and all they have ahead of them. We as a community know that while our time here on earth, seems so long -- it is just a drop in the bucket compared to the eternity your and our Lord and Savior has promised us. Just as your mom said at the trial, there is no doubt that when you are re-united that you will come running with arms open wide and smother her with hugs and kisses.

Thank you so much for remembering my precious Kari on her birthday. Jim and I miss her very much but we know there will be a reunion one day...We can wait until that time. For now, we just want to be there for Kensi and Grace and help them grow into happy and healthy young women.
