Kerrville Comment

A comment from a few days ago:

"Blackjack Davy said...
I was given (by a friend) a "Justice for Kari" bumper sticker to show my support for Kari. I work in Kerrville. One week after I put the bumper sticker on my car, it was torn off by an unknown person/s either when I was attending a doctor's appointment or when I was parked "downtown" (by Francisco's restaurant). If MB's supporter's want to have any credibility in the eyes of the public, they need to counsel their peers not to resort to childish vandalism. It's a sad and desperate thing to resort to."

I have had numerous emails from folks in Kerrville that wanted a sticker but knew this would happen. Their support is via prayers. And we appreciate that very much!

Hey, Blackjack--
If you send Shannon an email (her gmail account is posted on this blog), she'll send you another bumper sticker...she may even send you more than one to cover the chances for additional vandalism. Sad, huh? LOL

I am sorry that happened to you, Blackjack Davy. While I am sure it is a small minority of the people who support Matt,my family has had personal attacks from this group. Comments on other blogs, websites, etc. have had petty personal attacks directed at me or other family members. Once I received an anonymous letter with a Kerrville postmark. There have even been personal attacks against my daughter....the only person who can no longer defend herself.

In some ways, I take this as a positive sign. Why would those with the truth (as Matt and his supporters say they have) have to resort to such petty and hateful measures? Shouldn't the truth stand strong on its own?

Thank you for dislaying the bumper sticker. I hope you will request another.

We are anxious to go to trial. We want the truth to be told.

The person who did this dastardly act should be marched to the courthouse steps and......be handed a medal for heroism. The nice folks in Kerrville don't appreciate visual pollution with things like this dumb bumper sticker. They also don't like slanted media bias or fruity blogs like this one. But the blog is always a source of a good laugh if a person is having a difficult day.

Wow. According to my counters, your IP is on this blog quite a bit. I am so sorry that your days are so difficult that you must visit this blog to try and cheer you up. Lots of bad days from the number of visits I see. Have you thought about getting counseling for all of these difficult days?

You know, I bet your opinion of what people in Kerrville don’t like might just be in the minority. I received another email just today from a Kerrville native....cheering us on.... believing Matt is guilty. (HAND ON BIBLE. NOT LYING.)

Now, why don’t you go get some counseling...maybe a lesson on better manners while you are at it.

I mean, you're certainly welcome here. Your comments (the ones I let through and the ones I don't) are very telling. And I will add, DON'T HELP MATT AT ALL. In fact, the opposite. Knock yourself out.

LOL....You really don't help your cause at all. Quite the opposite.
You're funny...
I think you may be out of touch with what the good people of Kerrville really believe.

To Anon 4:20pm,
If you think this blog is fruity or a joke, then why do you always come and visit? And you say it is a "good laugh, but this blog is honoring a life that was taken from all of us! A wife, a mother, a cousin, and a friend. You are heartless, much like the man who took her life! What's funny though, is the blog that was created in Matt's honor. That lasted maybe a couple of weeks and didn't have very many supporters! So I guess the joke is on you! But like Shannon said; keep coming back! We're always anxious to see what you'll say next.

Have a Good Day!

To Anon 4:20

Is there a bumper sticker in support of Matt? I was just curious.

Actually Matt supporters in Kerrville are not the minority...quite the opposite! I for one am not sure at times who I support and just continue to pray. But once again I do have to say that minority is definately wrong. There have many polls done here and people that believe in him and his innocense far out weigh the people that think he is guilty!

Shannon,
Interesting that you did not let my post correcting the statement that Matt does not have many supporters here. You know, the one talking about the majority of kerrville!...why is that?

I'm sorry. It was one of those I was trying to figure out and it got lost in my 'saved mail' folder. I had to search back to see which one you were referring to.

I know that there are lots of people in Kerrville that strongly believe Matt is guilty but they do not want to hurt his parents or cause trouble so therefore I'm sure you may be unknowingly including those in your count. I don't know numbers. But I know that a lot people that go to Trinity and people involved in the school and various other Kerrville folks that see Matt on a very frequent basis have a hard time not crawling out of their skin when faced with him. But they are justifyable in that, I believe. I can't blame them for being careful. When it's all said and done, people will be free to speak their true and unabashed emotions.

I'm not sure what polls you are referring to.

Well since you dont live here and the truth be known you dont even really know many people here your right....you are right in that you dont know what polls have been taken here! Matt has the majority when it comes to people here in Kerrville supporting him! I am sure without a doubt that there are people that do not support him and have never judged those people. But do know for a fact that the ones that do support far out weigh the ones that dont!

I would have to agree that many people in Kerrville have a hard time facing Matt and being civil to him. "Wanting to crawl out of your skin" is a great way to put it. Many of the niceities we all go through when faced with interacting with him have a lot to do with not hurting his daughters. They don't need to live with the knowledge that people don't think highly of their father when they have no option but to live with him. They've gone through enough. As for the majority of people in Kerrville supporting Matt? I must know a whole different group of people!

Please tell us about the surveys or polls that have been taken in Kerrville? You know, the ones that show overwhelming support for Matt.

I know that I participated in it on another blog so yes it exist or I wouldnt have mentioned it. I did not stop at the park when they did a benefit for Matt but I did drive thru to see how it was going, it was overwhelming how many people were there!

That benefit for ol' MB was well before all the information surrounding Kari's death became public...and well before "I can't keep my stories straight" lied on public television to both 20/20 and 48 Hours.

Now, I am bettin' the ol'perv (and there are much worse words to describe him, beginning with a word that starts with "M") didn't bring in a whole bunch of money with his beggin' for money letter, did he? Nope, I don't live in Kerrville but I know people who live there....people who wouldn't give a dime to his cause. Throwing good money away.

Give it up!

and
"Well since you dont live here and the truth be known you dont even really know many people here your right....you are right in that you dont know what polls have been taken here! Matt has the majority when it comes to people here in Kerrville supporting him! "

But when asked what polls (plural) that show overwhelming support for Matt they are referring to, responds:
"I know that I participated in it on another blog so yes it exist or I wouldnt have mentioned it."

That's it? That's your proof of numerous polls (plural) that show overwhelming belief in Matt's innocence? The only poll I've seen is on this website and it's overwhelmingly not in support of Matt. And that's not coming from the blog author, but those interested in the case. If you have anything to share to back up your claim, please do. If not, please don't make such claims.
