No one ever believes that something like this will ever hit so close to home. I would watch these shows and be so naive about how the stories portrayed in these shows could ever enter my world. Now I watch with a new eye, as this story is parked on my front door step. Kari was my dear friend and Matt took her away. Matt took her away from her mother, Matt took her away from her daughters, and Matt took a whole list of things away from so many others who looked to him as a servant of God. He deceived so many and continues to do so. I hope this show will open the eyes of the DA. I hope this show will open the eyes of those blinded by Matt's charm and lies. I hope that this show remembers Kari as a wonderful, spirited woman full of love for her girls and her life.

Who was the person claiming to be Kari's mother on the Waco TV stations back during the time that Matt Baker was incarcerated? Or is she only talking about National TV media?

Little hostile there?

48 Hours wrote that sentence about her opening up for the first time on television. You say "she" but that text didn't come from Kari's mother. 48 Hours is probably referring to the fact that she didn't open up to 20/20 but she is with them. Don't make too much out of it.

5:58....really now? Grasping here? Of course she spoke to local press and most of it was via telephone. However the rest of the nation has not seen that. The statement refers to a nationally syndicated program which she has not done.

I absolutely LOVED the closing remarks, "No statute of limitations on murder". MB will wake up every morning wondering IF today is the day he's going to prison.
