Comment today...

Wanted to highlight a comment received just this afternoon. She makes a very good point.

"I'm in Kerrville and just this morning, after reading the paper, I realized we are/were "hosting" two possible wife murderers in our town! I have read in passing about Matt Baker and Tim Dawson and never took notice that they were two different people and two different cases of possible murder.

I came to your site looking for details. It is very informative. Kari certainly was loved by many people and from what little I've read she seems like a wonderful lady. I'm very sorry for her family for their loss.

I found my best friend dead in his home two weeks ago. There is not a detail of it that I cannot recall or any sequence of events that I am confused about. I remember what I said to the 911 operator. I remember it all very vividly. That is why I have a hard time believing that anyone would be unclear on whether they found the note and that sort of thing. It seems to me that finding your wife dead would play out over and over in your mind and would be extremely difficult to forget.

I am so angry with men like Scott Peterson, Drew Peterson, OJ Simpson, Matt Baker and Tim Dawson. It is terrifying how they have everyone fooled.

I would not go so far as to pronounce him guilty but he definitely deserved to be indicted and tried. There are too many questions to not go to trial."

Guess not everyone in Kerrville is buying the innocent MB story.

According to the poll statistics shown on the right, there's more than one Kerrville person not on Matt's side.

and looking at the stats on the right, not many people in waco really read this blog site anyway

Thanks for the chuckle.
First off, the poll isn't an indication of total visitors coming to the the site.
Second off, if you think about it, it speaks even more highly of Kari this way. It means that 94 or so people outside of Waco/Hewitt (including Kerrville and other places Kari lived) and/or family and friends that live elsewhere that participated in the poll here wanted to place their "connection" to this case firmly on the "side" of Kari. She has people from lots of places praying for her justice....not just Waco/Hewitt. Thank you for pointing that out.

HUH? explain how you figure your chart, Shannon. I do not understand your math. Where did you get the 94 or so people outside of waco/hewitt, including kerrville. why would y ou include kerrville as there is a place for the people from kerrville to check. Something doesn't add up. Could you explain?

Okay. I'm no math whiz so if I'm wrong, correct me.

As of right now, 141 people show their connection to the case as being with Kari. But of those 141, only 47 say they are from the Waco/Hewitt area. That would leave a number of 94 as the difference...and those people would be from OUTSIDE the Waco/Hewitt area. The poll results show 91 voters are from Kerrville but only 82 of them show their support for Matt. (And that gap has recently closed in a little. For months there was about a 15-20 person difference in there.) From that, I gathered it was safe to "assume" that the remainder of those folks would support justice for Kari if they are not "with" Matt. So some Kerville folks are mixed in with Kari's number. Does that not sound right?

Let's see how fast the gap closes on the Kerrville folks for Matt now that it's been pointed out. @@
Feel the scramble.

Good prediction, Tammy. The gap is closing very quickly. I wonder how many phone calls and emails were sent out in a flurry to make it so? ;)
