Interesting comment left today in the WacoTrib.com:

By One of Matt's Victims

Well, here is a fact for all of you out there. Matt has been living a "double life" since 1991 when he assaulted me in the old training room of the Baylor Stadium; a time when he was majoring in Youth Ministry and Recreation. He admitted it to Baylor personnel and apologized to me in front of the same personnel. And I was promised by the University that he would be punished. He got by then and he continues to get by now. I find it very interesting that his story continues to change as he tells it. He has been caught in many lies with all of this but unfortunately not yet in court. So, is Matt the most unlucky person on the planet?? Why does he keep losing jobs b/c he gets accused of sexual misconduct? Maybe something to the stories?? Just another part of his life y'all might want to chew on for a bit.

I did not know that he had admitted to it to Baylor personnell and then "apologized" for it in front of them. Now, he says nothing happened at all? I hope the person in charge of that at Baylor is called to the stand to testify on what happened and WHY THE HECK he let it go.

Thank God for the courage of this young woman. Gone are the days of sweeping this kind of stuff under the carpet but what a tragedy that we would have never known of Matt's dark side had Kari not been murdered. Baylor and First Baptist Church of Waco should be so ashamed of their failure to act on matters such as this. Now I wonder how many other things are buried in their files.

And let us not forget the Waco Y At least four girls reported everything from improper advances to sexual assualt. As MB's friends say, this doesn't prove murder. However, it does prove this false preacher ain't who he pretends to be. I also think this should be enough to have his daughters removed from his care.

Come to think of it, did he ever leave a job (get fired or asked to leave) when there wasn't a complaint against him? Seriously. He switched jobs so much and it seems that many of those places have complaints on their files in regards to Matt. It's scary how one place can let him go and not feel compelled to warn the place that he's going to. SO many places and churches share some responsibility in letting this man go on and on like this. I hope it keeps them up at night.

Seriously, I hadn't thought of it but I wonder if CPS knows about all this? They should.

Please leave CPS out of this. Those girls have been through enough. CPS will go to their school and interview them and could even stick them with strangers. Baker may not be the best guy for his kids but leave CPS out of it.

I wonder why they really left Dallas? I bet if someone were to snoop around and talk to people he worked with, they might find another skeleton in the every growing closet life of Matt Baker.

True, snoop around Dallas, and find out why Matt and Kari left Dallas. They were a couple, and BOTH made that decision. Maybe Dallas was too far for Kari to commute to work in Waco and visit with her Mom?

I think if you want Baylor and Waco Center of Youth, churches, etc.. to assist in this guy's conviction -- the best bet is not to put them at fault.

Matt Baker is the one who killed Kari, and he is the one who should be held accountable.

No, I wouldn't put blame on anyone for Kari's murder but Matt. You're right. But I do think each place that passes on someone with multiple sexual allegations against them without turning him in or noting his record in some way would be partially responsible for setting him loose in a new church or school. That's what I meant.

Snoop around? Done deal. A while back, in fact. Amazing how the people in Dallas will talk when they feel so strongly about something. Even though I knew this stuff months ago, I didn't "jump on it" and come and "bash" Matt just for "bashing sake" with the info I collected. I'm only doing so now because, well, I was called out.

Seems the church squeezed Matt out...reduced his salary by several thousand dollars (probably something to do with the erroneous salary info they were given upon hiring him)....then finally got rid of him. Kari loved Dallas! Loved her job! Loved her dear friends there! Actually Matt had to live with the Dulins while he tried to find a job. He is the one that had to get on home and live with the Dulins. It wasn't Kari's choice or doing. Kari stayed in Dallas a couple more months because she had to finish out the semester. They loved her there and she hated to leave. However, she was loyal to the man that lost his job again and so she had to leave a job she loved again. Of course, by then, this had become a routine way of life. Kari kept following her husband....job to job to job. I did my homework. I'm not passionate about this because of some hunches or "feelings." There's a lot more to it than that.

Shannon,

I'm not sure what your occupation is, but I'm thinking that if you are not some type of an investigator....you may have missed your calling!! Thanks for all the info.

Shannon, yes, Kari did stay and finish out the semester. But, I'm sure you are aware that she was already working at MCC before they moved away from Dallas. She really moved to Waco first, at least job and one night each week with her Mom. Her husband once again followed her departure from a church.

To Anonymous 9:33 -
You have an interesting way of describing things. Kari did have adjunct position for Tarleton for 5 Saturdays and would drive up for that and drive home. That doesn't sound like "moved to Waco first" to me. Matt moved in with the Dulins in Waco full time and had no job. Kari still had her full time job in Dallas for the remainder of the semester. Sounds like she was working her tail off to support their family and/ or build her future teaching career because it was definately looking more and more like....well, one of them had to try to build a stable career.

And on the idea that you keep bringing up that it was always Kari's fault that they had to leave churches, either put up or shut up. Are there reports of her molesting members of the church or bodacious lying problems to elders and leaders of the church that we don't know about? Your unsubstantiated baloney is tiresome.

The "April Fool" 9:33 poster sure does have a lot of details at his command. Who could that be?? It is someone who hates Kari, that we know for sure. Someone who has a vested interest in obfuscating the truth and distorting facts.

TUBS of unsubstantiated baloney!

So are these the lies MB is telling you? Kari NEVER worked for MCC. Did he REALLY tell you that he followed her departure?? I can't decide if you are totally under his spell, or if his lies are growing just because he has "friends" who question nothing he says, no matter how outlandish and crazy.

What in the world will you do when you can no longer stand by this man without looking like a total fool?

Do you really think the evidence has been made public? That will come in the trial. There will be both a civil and criminal trial. MB will get his time in court. Let the truth be revealed.
