48 Hours Web Extra - Justice for Kari

Extra: Justice for Kari
"When Kari Baker's death was ruled a suicide in April 2006, law enforcement thought the case was closed. And it might have been, if not for Kari's mother and a growing circle of family, friends, investigators, attorneys and others who were convinced Kari had been murdered by her husband, Baptist Preacher Matt Baker, and were determined to get justice no matter how long it would take."

Some of the smartest, most tenacious people I know are in this photo. It was an honor to fight for Justice for Kari with each and every one of them. We all continue to work and pray for the final chapter of this "story" to conclude with justice for Kari's girls. Please pray with us.

Shannon—I have followed this case for so long I feel as if I know all of you, even tho I really don’t. I am in awe of each of you who continued to fight for justice. I admire your tenacity and your faithfulness to the cause! It is truly a testament to the kind of person Kari was that so many people cared so deeply.

As wonderful as the justice IS that we have all witnessed so far, just wait a little while longer...God delights in writing the final chapter! Looking to HIM for HIS will to be revealed in January, when true "justice for Kari" becomes reality.

What a beautiful tribute to the amazing "village" who love Kari, abhor evil, and worked so tenaciously for Justice. The program was awesome, but this little "extra" had me in tears. I watched it several times.

May God bless the Dulins, Kari's family, the friends, the investigators, and all who did their part to help bring Kari's murderer to justice against such daunting odds.

I don't think the people in this beautiful group portrait have any idea what a tremendous impact this story will have, on untold numbers of others "out there" who learn of Kari and what happened to her.

This is one of the legacies of Kari. From her story, people can learn. They can protect themselves from an evil that hides its hateful intent behind a convincing mask. They can protect their lives, or the life of a friend or loved one. If the unthinkable happens, like it did for Kari and her family, they can be inspired to fight for justice. They can find encouragement in Kari's story, to rely on their faith and to never give up.

Seeing these beautiful and inspiring faces all gathered together in this "extra," it occurs to me to mention: I was surprised not to see more from the killer's family on the 48 Hours program. If they believe he has been unjustly sentenced to prison for the rest of his life for a crime he did not commit -- well... you get the picture.

I agree with Aunt Granny above. What a rejoicing that will be, when the girls are brought home where they have always belonged.

That is a picture of a dedicated and loving group of people! Good work! I'm glad you all got justice for your dear girl. May God grant you custody of her children too.

This was my favorite of all the bonus video after the show -- but I wish it had been part of the show! There is only one thing wrong with this picture - Mr. Dulin is missing. I will never forget watching this trial online and the way his arm was always around Linda as if to say I have you dear.
Carole - I feel the same way, I feel like I know all these people too! I hope they take another group shot very soon and add two girls and Jim to the pic!
