Okay........

Okay. So I'm looking for some boots I haven't worn in a while.....in the bottom of my closet. Master closet is main storage area. Looking, moving over, looking...what's that? Wow. A stack of WCS yearbooks. These aren't "mine"....they were loaned to me when our alumni association was putting together a reunion and website a while back. Hmmmmmm....what years are these?

Have I mentioned the night I first met Kari at SV's "Blast Off" night before school.....August of 2005. Kari was a new teacher at our school that year. We were anxious to meet Bro's teacher and hoped it'd be a good fit. We were one of the first families there that night and Kari and I got to visit a while without too much interruption. Didn't take long at all to get to the fact we were both Waco Christian School Warriors. SMALL WORLD! I mean, my class was only 15. Small, small private school. She didn't come to WCS until after I had graduated. But we still had that "Warrior" bond right away. ;)

Okay. Back to the yearbooks I stumbled upon this morning. I found so many pictures of Kari. She was a part of so much that made up Waco Christian School. I will apologize ahead of time for the quality of the photos in this small school yearbook from 16ish years ago and the quality of being able to scan them in. But I don't think you will find it hard to find Kari in the following yearbook photographs. (Note: There were many more photos that were just too small, too dark or too fuzzy to scan well.)

I give you Waco Christian School 1991-1993.

Junior Year - Mascot, Varsity Basketball, Varsity Softball, Key Club, Active in Young Life, Who's Who, Most Improved Mascot, Spark Plug Award in softball, Most Improvced in Basketball,Active in church Youth Group.

Senior Year - Mascot, Varsity Basketball, Varsity Softball, Heart O' Texas Sweetheart, Key Club, Class Fundraisers, Active in church Youth Group.

I have much more to say.....will have to save it for another day. My kids are a 'callin.....

Once a Warrior...........Always a Warrior.

Goodnight.

Amazed

I know by now I shouldn't be, but I am.....constantly amazed by what all exactly is completely public information if you just take the time, care and know where and how to get it.

Go to the courthouse, read the court documents, open records, and see what the actual document said regarding visitation and counseling. Not exactally the way the Dulins are claiming.

I'm holding the Plaintiff's Original Petition, original Respondent's (MB's) Proposal for Temporary Orders hand-scribbled changed to Rule 11 Agreement with the changes made by the Petitioners among MANY other motions and documents.

This proposal....(click to enlarge)

became this....

Cause NO. 2006-2220-4
IT IS ORDERED that MB enroll his children KB and GB in counseling no later than July 7th, 2006. IT IS ORDERED that MB notify LD and JD when each session has occurred. IT IS ORDERED that MB require the counselor to provide written confirmation as session is attended by the children the subject of this suit. IT IS ORDERED that MB provide said written confirmation by the counselor to LD and JD within three (3) days of each session.

It's all pretty clear. It does appear that he had to be ordered to have the girls in counseling. What EXACTLY did the commentor mean that wasn't as the Dulins have claimed?

For the record: I would not have made a big deal out of the counseling orders were it not for the fact that a commentor here on this blog called me out on it. And called the Dulins liars. That's the only reason I'm making this a headline post.

San Antonio story from December 27, 2007

A commentor pointed out that there was a story and video ran in San Antonio last week. Took a little digging through the mysanantonio.com site but I found it.

Kerrville man waiting for possible murder indictment <---story

News broadcast on KENS5 <---video

The comment left here was:
"If you still believe and are convinced that Matt is guilty, then you have not been watching the later videoes or reading the newspapers. As they are poointing out the other side and not just the affidavit that was so full of holes. San Antonio had a report on one of their tv stations last week."

And as I responded, it's laughable for someone to think that that a news story is enough to convince someone of anyone's guilt or innocence. That can't be done in a news broadcast, newspaper article or even a blog. Besides, this last news story doesn't show any new "evidence" or whatnot. It's just another attempt and gaining sympathy for Matt's circumstance. That's all. Although now they are amping it up by using the children.

The stuff you find.....

.....when cleaning out old files and papers. I found this letter dated April 10, 2006 from SV's principal to the SV parents:

Dear SV Parents,
The SV Elementary Community has suffered a tragic loss in the death of third grade teacher, Kari Baker. Mrs. Baker passed away at her home this weekend. Her two daughters, both SV students, and her husband have our deepest sympathies at this time of overwhelming grief and loss.

This morning at school, teachers shared with students about the loss of Mrs. Baker. Mrs. Y, our school counselor, visitied with Mrs. Baker's class, the other five third grade classes, and was available to meet the needs of other students in the school as needed. Dr. P, school psychologist, was also on hand to help students and staff as they work through their feelings at this difficult time.

I respectfully ask your support and understanding as the school family deals with their loss and as we do our best to minister to the Baker family in their time of bereavement. Please know that you can call Mrs. Y, our counselor, or me if there is anything we can do to help your child through the next few weeks.

Our hope is that, together, we can show the kind of love and care for one another as we honor the memory of Mrs. Baker by doing what she so capably did by showing her dedication to children and their education.

Sincerely,
Mrs. M

I will say that the school really seemed to do as well a job as can be done at a time like this. From what Bro said, one day that week they asked each one of the children to pick one of Mrs. Baker's most special things in the classroom and they put them together in a box to be taken to Matt and the girls. It made the kids feel like they were doing something to help. I've always wondered what happened to those special things after they were delivered. They had a couple other activities that seemed appropriate in helping the kids deal with a shock and grief such as this. It's a shame this kind of thing has to be dealt with by children at all.
