Fundraising Info?

A couple of comments mentioned some big fundraising efforts on Matt's behalf. Does anyone have information on those?

The fund raiser will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Louise Hays Park Pavilion. It will include barbecue plates, a bake sale, music and a silent auction with weekend packages, paintings, hunting trips and more.

We will be happy to save some plates for you Waco people if you would like...

Interesting take on this. Obviously, the first two comments were from Kerrville people. Do you see Waco people as your adversaries? It almost sounds like it. From an oustider perspective, it would seem to me that the people who would know the real Mr. Baker would be the people from Waco. He worked with these people for several years. He lived among them for several years. He was living there at the time of his wife's death. These people are very willing to believe that he could commit murder. what is it about him that would make people so willing to believe this? Or what was it about Kari Baker that convince people she couldn't have done what her husband said she did. Everything I have heard and read from the Kerrville area seems to paint a picture of Matt Baker that the people of kerrville new as a boy. What if the grown man is not the same person? What if he is just a pretender?

What if what if!! That is what this whole site has turned out to be! Everyone can say " she would never do that" or "he did this, I know he did!" FACT: No one that has blogged knows the truth! They are all assuming! You ask what makes so many in Waco believe she could not have and he could!! Well, it is easy to FEEL what we want to believe and what others say rather than trust God to bring out the truth!
As for everyone knowing him as a boy that is not completly true either!! Once again assuming and FEELING rather than KNOWING!!! Yes some only knew him in early life. Some only since he moved to Kerrville...but OTHERS, ALL his life!! Do we all support him? Majority do as do many for the Dullins in Waco. Interesting thing to me? Waco supporters seem WAY more judgemental of Matt than KERRVILLE supporters of the Dullins! My question would be...WHY????

Well, Matt, you have almost the same amount of CAPS and !!!!!s as I do. It's passion. It's what makes us what we are.

You are very sad poster above!! I am female and old!! I am truly a christian and I am sad for you that you cast stones the way you do!!

Well, I think I'm the poster above!! I'm female and old, too. Do we know each other? What stones am I casting that God has not commanded me to cast???!!?? I just want a trial and justice. Is that different than what you want?

OK, time for a old male to answer you old females. What does gender or age have to do with this issue? I do not personally know any of the parties involved in this situation, but as a law person, have read the warrant and newspaper releases and find them very weak and full of "could be" "probably" "maybe""appeared", no words that would stand up in a court. I think when this is all over some of the local law people will wish they had not have said some of the things they said. Again, I am not personally involved and only seeing this as an educated law person that deals with these issues all the time.

Affidavits only show probable cause...the evidence comes later.

I am wondering how God will judge ME if I buy a plate of that BBQ in support of Matt, and he turns out to be guilty?

I think I'll stay home and have a bowl of cereal and play it safe.

Cereal killer, huh...OH my goodness!

LOL....it appears the only ones that seem disturbed be the postings on this site are from WACO.
I am sure the judging upon yourself from God will not be from eating BBQ but more from postings on this site!
Come on and go to the BBQ I will be glad to buy you a plate!! That way you have no worries and you eat some good food with the excellent people of Kerrville!

Even if he is found guilty at least you got some good BBQ!
