That one....I do not understand yet.....

Oh, boy. I have LOTS of points to make after hearing this latest special report. But if I do, it might help the wrong side. While I want to bite my lip...I don't have to. God is in control. You'll know it when you read/hear it. "Eyes Wide Shut" anyone?

KXXV-TV (Channel 25) Accused Wife Killer Out on Bond
By Jennifer Kent

WACO - A former preacher who has been locked-up for over a month, charged with the murder of his wife is out of jail on bond. Our cameras were at the McLennan County Jail when a long-time family friend paid Matthew Baker's $200,000 bond in cash. Matt is accused of drugging
his wife, Kari Lynn Baker with sleeping pills, smothering her and then making her death appear to be suicide. Baker's attorney says this case is based on theory. He says there are no witnesses or forensic evidence. Gray says, "there's an allegation she was suffocated with a
pillow- there's no pillow, there's no DNA."

But Gray cannot explain everything. Police found an internet search for "overdose by sleeping pill," and a search for the sleeping pill Ambien on Baker's work computer, dated March 2006.
Less than a month later the young mother was found dead.

Kari's mother tells News Channel 25 Gray has said exactly what she would expect him to and all his rhetoric is part of his job. She says she looks forward to justice being served. Baker is expected to return to his home of Kerrville Thursday evening. It's unclear if he will continue
substitute teaching at his high school alma mater.

This link is to the Hill Country Community Journal. The article contains some interesting commentary from Matt Baker's attorney.

One thing that doesn't appear in the article but is displayed in an inset in the print edition is a notice of a community-wide fund raiser for Matt's defense. The event has both business and citizen support and indicates how much the community is behind Matt.

I feel for the people of Kerrville.

Yes, I too feel for the people of Kerrville. To have one of their own accussed of something that he did not do has created a strong bond of supporters. And I guess if you are not a part of a caring group then you must feel like an outsider.

Huh?

The only "outsider" I see is MB himself! I believe that's why he left Waco because he had nothing or no one here! So I think Matt is the outsider in this case!

Please do not feel for us here in Kerrville!! We only support those that we truly believe in!!!

Matt left Waco area because his logical supporters, the wife's family, was no support, but attackers. He wanted his daughters in a safer and more loving environment, thus the move to his family and his supporters.

Oh please! I don't know who posted right above, but give me a break! The family tried to be there, but Matt was too busy with his "girlfriend" to be involved with the Dulin's. He was trying to find a new mom for his girls and when that relationship failed, he moved!

Oh please! I was a witness to how much aide the in-laws offered Matt and his daughters immediately after his wife's passing. There was none. They went immediately to attacking. I watched them struggle thru learning how to be a family of 3 and accept food from some of us moms that had known the family. Why wasn't the family bringing food to their home? Why weren't they helping with their laundry. Yes, I know they did not, because I offered and Matt assurred me that he was taking care of it. And this "fixation" on the girfriend seems to be one that the Dulins have manifested??

The girlfriend? Fixation? He was seen all over town with her shortly after Kari's death. He even brought her to the girls school.....and this wasn't a figment of our imagination.

If people are a little "fixed" on this, it is because many believe this girlfriend was a huge motive in the murder. Does MB think no one would think it was weird and in bad taste? What does this say about his responsibility as a parent.

Wow, I just now found out about this blog site. For you idiots who believe everything you see from the Media. You should really not make judgments about his relationship with his female friend.
